The Ella and Georg Ehrnrooth Foundation provides grants yearly for scientific research. The foundation distributes grants primarily to young postdoctoral researchers and for completion of doctoral theses. Application deadline is January to February every year.
The purpose of the foundation is to promote scientific research and literature. Grants will not be awarded to medical sciences, nor the fields covered by the Magnus Ehrnrooth Foundation, i.e. mathematics, physics and chemistry (including biochemistry and medical chemistry).

Grant decisions will be made during June. Grants will be paid by the end of June to the account specified by the beneficiary. The names and amounts of grant recipients are published on the foundation's website.
