Grants awarded annually
The Ella and Georg Ehrnrooth Foundation awards annual grants for scientific research. The foundation awards grants primarily to young postdoctoral researchers and for completion of doctoral theses for doctoral candidates. Application deadline is January to February every year.
Supported fields of science and research
The purpose of the foundation is to promote scientific research and literature. Grants will not be awarded to medical or technical sciences, nor the fields covered by the Magnus Ehrnrooth Foundation, i.e. mathematics, physics and chemistry (including biochemistry and medical chemistry).
Grant decisions and payment date
Grant decisions will be made at the latest during June. Grants will be paid out, beginning in June. The names of grant recipients, research topics and amounts of grants are published on the foundation's website.
